STYLE IDEAS: MASTER BEDROOM

We're nearing the point where we need to start getting some paint on the walls in the two bedrooms, so its time to start making some decisions on colour!

The spare bedroom is going to feature the same colour as the studio/loft room, along with a very light neutral, so that one's pretty much taken care of.

For the master bedroom we're going with a palette of soft blush pink and light grey. I may throw another colour in there with a few accessories (that we can easily change at a later date) but the key colours are going to be the pink and the grey.

We had a weekend off from working on the house last week, but still ended up in B&Q on the Saturday morning! As well some necessary supplies (sand paper, sanding blocks... can you sense a theme?) we picked up a few paint colours to try out on the walls. I'm a fan of soft pastel shades, so most things we try I end up saying "I'll try mixing that with some white'. That's definitely going to be the case with the greys but there is one potential for the pink as it comes: Dulux Blush Pink. We need to look at it alongside a few of the items we've bought for the room but its a strong contender!

We also had a trip to Ikea the weekend before last, and a few fun purchases for the house! Including this pink throw for the bedroom. We also picked up 8 shelves, a desk chair, a bookcase and storage unit for the studio/loft room, as well as a lovely little watering can for the indoor plants (our taps are all on the ground floor, and there'll be lots of plants up in the studio on the second floor!)
