Our second week working in the house has been all about filling, sanding, painting, papering, and more holes in walls.

We've filled in the holes in the ceiling that we'd made last week for the insulation. We've finished sanding down all of the woodwork in the loft room, and given it all 2 coats of undercoat (which also involved quite a lot of the paint going on our clothes and eachother's faces!). One wall of the loft room is now lined with paper, finishing the rest of the room is next on our list.

Meanwhile, Dad has been busy cutting holes in the walls and pulling up floor-boards in both of the bedrooms ready for some new electrical sockets to be installed next week.

Due to our work schedules and a weekend away for Jamie, we won't be back at the house until next week now. But on Saturday I'll be heading to B&Q, Howden's & Selco to start looking at kitchens, and a few flooring places to get some carpets ordered for the upstairs. We also need to start thinking about colours for the loft room as we'll be ready to paint the walls in there soon, so I'll be sharing some inspiration for that later in the week!
